Rewari (Haryana) [India], August 11 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off and participated in the half marathon event organised in Rewari on Sunday.
He said that these kinds of events created enthusiasm among children and kept youths away from drugs.
"A marathon event was organised in Rewari. Thousands of youth participated in the marathon. The winners of the marathon were facilitated. These kinds of events arouse enthusiasm among the children and keep youth away from drugs. PM Modi has launched the 'Fit India' campaign which is benefitting the people of the nation," CM Nayab Singh Saini told reporters.

"'Tiranga Yatra' started today and I have appealed to people to put up flags on their respective homes on the occasion of August 15. In the last 10 years under the leadership of PM Modi, the country has become more safe and stronger. The government has run several schemes to uplift the poor. Whether it is road infrastructure, rail connectivity, constructing new medical colleges, inaugurating new colleges or creating more MBBS seats the government is working in a mission mode," he added.
He further said that the youths are getting jobs without paying any commission and they are very spirited.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign across the nation. During this period, the central government urged the citizens to hoist the tricolour on every house, shop, and office.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes as part of the party's 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day on August 15.
In the 112th 'Mann Ki Baat' on July 28, Prime Minister Modi called upon all Indians to take part in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign to celebrate Independence Day.
Har Ghar Tiranga' is a campaign that forms part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It was started in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India's independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag. (ANI)
