New Delhi [India], Oct 29 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu here on Tuesday.
"Manohar Lal, who recently took charge as the Chief Minister of #Haryana for a second consecutive term, called on the Vice President, in New Delhi today. The Chief Minister also extended an invitation to Hon'ble Vice President to inaugurate International #Gita Mahotsav 2019." Vice President's office said in a tweet.
Chief Minister expressed happiness over the meeting and recalled relations the two leaders shared over the years.
"As a Chief Minister, it is my responsibility that I should meet the Vice President. We have shared cordial relations for years. We discussed a lot of topics related to Haryana. It felt quite good," the Chief Minister said.
Talking to reporters here, the Chief Minister mentioned that education, health and security are going to be some of the focus areas for his government.
When asked about implementation of promises made by his party and ally JJP in their respective manifestos, the Chief Minister said a committee will be formed to look into these issues.
Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday took oath as Haryana Chief Minister for the second term after the recently concluded polls in the state. (ANI)
