Patna (Bihar) [India], October 11 (ANI): Former Bihar Chief Minister and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader Jitan Ram Manjhi refuted the speculation of him getting a Governor post and called them imaginary.
On his frequent Delhi visit, Manjhi said "I have been meeting big leaders of the BJP, but this time my going to Delhi is not for political reason, its personal reason. We met them (earlier) for political reasons that there should be seat sharing or coordination of seats in NDA. It has been discussed that after Dussehra everyone will come here and then everything will be discussed".
Speculation ran rife in the political arena that Manjhi was offered a Governor post by the Centre.
On the announcement of dates for assembly elections in 5 states, Former CM of Bihar and HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi said, "Except for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is no option for the PM post. They are (Opposition) fighting among themselves and they will keep doing this. PM Modi has done so many development works for the nation. People have made up their minds to cast votes in the favour of NDA alliance."
Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi joined the Bhartiya Janata Party on June 21st, days after his son Santosh Suman resigned from Nitish Kumar's Cabinet. As per reports, Santosh Suman Manjhi resigned from the Nitish Kumar Government as he wanted to protect his party's identity and there had been constant pressure on HAM to merge with JD(U).
On the duo's resignation, Nitish Kumar said, "I resigned and made him (Jitan Ram Manjhi) the CM, everyone knows what he says now. Everyone knew that he was meeting BJP people and then used to come to us also. When I asked them (Jitan Ram Manjhi and Santosh Kumar Suman) to either merge their party with us or separate, they decided to separate". (ANI)
