Gujarat polls: BJP to declare list of nominees 'at the right time', says J.P. Nadda

New Delhi [India], Nov.15 (ANI): Union Minister J.P. Nadda on Wednesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will announce its list of nominees for the Gujarat Assembly elections 'at the right time'.

Nadda's statement comes after the BJP's Central Election Committee meeting that was held in New Delhi today.

"Discussion for most of the seats for Gujarat election have been done, list will be declared at the right time," he told media after the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by party president Amit Shah and was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani along with other party leaders.

Nadda further said that the list of candidates for six seats of the Karnataka Legislative Council has been declared and will be up on the website soon.

"As far as the legislative of Karnataka is concerned, for all the six seats a list has been declared. It will be on the website," he said.

Earlier in the day, the Congress Central Election Committee meeting to select candidates for Gujarat elections was postponed to Friday.

The elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14. (ANI)
