Gujarat: 3 arrested for playing objectionable song during Eid procession in Vadodara

The arrested accused including the DJ owner have been identified as Haiderkhan Mukhtiyar Pathan, Sarafaraz Jaleel Ahmed Ansari alias Kaliya and Rahul Radheshyam Dhobi.

Vadodara (Gujarat) [India], October 1 (ANI): Three persons were arrested for allegedly playing an objectionable song on DJ during a procession taken out on the occasion of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi in Gujarat’s Vadodara, a police official said on Sunday.

The arrested accused including the DJ owner have been identified as Haiderkhan Mukhtiyar Pathan, Sarafaraz Jaleel Ahmed Ansari alias Kaliya and Rahul Radheshyam Dhobi.
According to the police, the incident took place on September 29 on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi.
“They were booked under Indian Penal Code sections 143 (unlawful assembly), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups), 153B (for making statements that promote disharmony or hatred between different religious, racial, language, or regional groups), 188 (deliberate disobedience of an order), and 144 and sections 131 and 135 of the Gujarat Police Act,” the Vadodara Police added.
Currently, all the accused are under police custody.
Further investigation is under process, the police added. (ANI)
