Groundwork needed to form political party: Kamal Haasan

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 7 (ANI): Actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday, while speaking on decision of forming a political party, said a lot of groundwork is needed for the same and he is working towards that.

Groundwork needed to form political party: Kamal Haasan

Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], November 7 (ANI): Actor Kamal Haasan on Tuesday, while speaking on decision of forming a political party, said a lot of groundwork is needed for the same and he is working towards that.

"Many people are speculating that today I will announce a political party. But I have to do a lot of groundwork before that. We have been sitting and analysing for the same. At this point, question of stepping back doesn't arise. That is why I said groundwork being done," Haasan said, while addressing the media here.

The versatile actor, who turned 63 today, said that he has to form a party, keeping the larger goal in mind, and he is working on the structural part of it.

He further asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu will support him because they want change.

Earlier on Sunday, the actor, clearing the air on the speculations of his joining politics, said, "People say I will announce my party's name. For naming a child we must have one first. Should I still say if I'll enter politics?" (ANI)
