Groom halts his wedding procession, joins protests in UP's Mahoba

Mahoba (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Dec 3 (ANI): A man in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba on his way to get married halted his wedding procession briefly to join a group of protesters on a hunger strike here, before proceeding to tie the knot.

Mahoba (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Dec 3 (ANI): A man in Uttar Pradesh's Mahoba on his way to get married halted his wedding procession briefly to join a group of protesters on a hunger strike here, before proceeding to tie the knot.
The incident took place on Sunday night. Reportedly, a few people have been sitting here on an indefinite strike for the past 10 days demanding the setting up of a medical college in Mahoba.
"We have been on an indefinite hunger strike for the past 10 days now. Our demand is that a medical college should be constructed here. A groom was heading out for his wedding and when he saw us and after enquiring about our demands, joined us," according to a protestor.
"The groom supported us and stated that Mahoba needs a medical college," he added.

The groom proceeded towards his wedding and got married, according to reports. (ANI)
