AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami denied holding alliance talks with actor-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), stating that no such discussions have taken place and the media is spreading speculation.

"We are forming the government in Tamil Nadu, and we have decided to work together to defeat the DMK. PM Modi has given us a clear direction. Double-engine government in Delhi and the NDA government in Tamil Nadu. Together, we will transform Tamil Nadu and will make it a very good state. We will eliminate corruption and the loot of the DMK and the Stalin family," Goyal told reporters in Tiruchirappalli.

Piyush Goyal, while talking to the media, said, "NDA is going to sweep the next election, removing the corrupt Stalin government. The people of Tamil Nadu will never accept Udhayanidhi Stalin as their Chief Minister, and this is the contest to save Tamil pride, culture and people from the corrupt practices of the Stalin family."

CPI-M MP John Brittas, while responding to reports of a commercial LPG cylinder shortage across several parts of India, criticised the Union government's foreign policy, alleging that it has effectively become a "cheerleader" for Israel and the USA.
