"Golden future of new Uttar Pradesh": CM Yogi congratulates students on UP board results

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 20 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated class 10, and 12 students of the UP Board for their results on Saturday.
The Chief Minister called the students the 'golden future of Uttar Pradesh' and wished that all of them succeed in every test of life.
"Hearty congratulations to all the students, who passed the 10th and 12th class examinations of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh and to their parents and teachers!" CM Yogi posted on X.
"All of you are the golden future of the 'new Uttar Pradesh'. With such hard work, dedication and patience, I wish that all of you succeed in every test of life. May the blessings of Maa Sharada always remain upon you all!" said the Chief Minister.
The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council declared the class 10 and 12 results on Saturday.
The results revealed an 89.55 pass percentage for high school and an 82.60 pass percentage for intermediate candidates.
Sitapur candidates dominated the state rankings this year in both high school and intermediate exams.
Prachi Nigam from Sitapur secured the first position in high school with 98.50 per cent, followed by Deepika Sonkar from Fatehpur with 98.33 per cent, and Navya Singh from Sitapur with 98 per cent marks.
In the intermediate exams, Shubham Verma from Sitapur topped with 97.80 per cent, followed by Vishu Chaudhary from Baghpat and Kajal Singh from Amroha, both scoring 97.60 per cent.

Shubham Verma, who topped the intermediate examination with 97.80 per cent marks spoke to ANI and said, "My parents are farmers. For my education, they faced a lot of difficulties and made me reach this school. I want to become an IAS officer."

Speaking to ANI, Anksha Vishvakarma, who secured the 3rd rank in the UP Board Results, said, "The credit goes to my school and parents. After school, I indulged in self-study for 4-5 hours. My father is a labourer. I want to become an engineer."

Another student, Aaditya Kumar Yadav, who secured third rank in the Intermediate Examination, said, "I feel so proud. I studied regularly and sincerely. I didn't use the Internet during my studies. I studied for 8-10 hours. I want to become an NDA officer and serve the nation."

Navya Singh, who secured the third rank in the high school examination, told ANI, "I had made a strategy beforehand to become a topper. I want to become a social worker."
Director of Education (Secondary) Dr Mahendra Dev and Secretary of Secondary Education Council Dibyakant Shukla, while declaring the results, said that with the board examination of the year 2024, the Secondary Education Council has also set new records.
"This year, the UP Board achieved a significant milestone by completing the examinations within a record 12 working days. Simultaneously, the evaluation of answer sheets was also efficiently conducted within the same timeframe. This marks the second consecutive year, following 2023, where the board has released results in record time, a first in its 100-year history," he said.
A total of 25,78,007 candidates registered for the intermediate examination, consisting of 24,25,426 institutional and 1,52,581 individual candidates.
Of these, 24,52,830 candidates, including 23,16,910 institutional candidates and 1,35,920 individual candidates, took the exam.
There was a notable increase of 2.54 per cent in the number of candidates achieving honours in the first division, along with a rise of 2.83 per cent in candidates passing in the first division.
Boys' passing rate increased by 8.44 per cent, and girls' passing rate saw a rise of 5.42 per cent.
Overall, there was an impressive increase of 7.08 per cent in the overall passing percentage. (ANI)
