New Delhi [India], July 21 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday emphasised the rising global interest in India's "Sanatan culture" during his address at AajTak's special program "Dharm Sansad."
The Chief Minister, in a special program, shared the spiritual significance of Sanatan Dharma and discussed various topics.
"The attraction toward Indian Sanatan culture is continuously increasing. People want to know what traditional Indian life is like, what the diverse aspects of Indian society are, and what spirit resides in India's soul. This is why India's respect and honour are growing on the global stage," he said at the program.
Mohan Yadav highlighted India's growing economic prosperity and emphasised the increasing global interest in understanding and connecting with Indian culture, lifestyle, and values, beyond just trade.
"India is becoming economically prosperous today. But more importantly, the world now wants to become familiar with India's goodness. People are interested in understanding Indian culture, lifestyle, and values. This is a positive sign that the global community wants to connect not only with India for trade but also with its cultural soul," he said.
He further mentioned the Sanatan culture and the principle of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah Sarve Santu Niramaya (May all be happy, may all be free from disease), which prays for everyone's well-being. He also spoke about the concept of *Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam* (the world is one family), where good things are shared in a family, and weaknesses are gradually overcome with time.
Mohan Yadav emphasised that both the state and central governments, led by PM Modi, prioritise economic progress alongside cultural consciousness.
"Both our state government and the Government of India, under the leadership of Modi ji, have emphasised not only economic progress but also cultural consciousness in their policies. When we go on foreign tours and discuss trade, we also strive to showcase India's cultural identity and lifestyle to the world," he said.
He announced that 2026 will be celebrated as the India-Spain Cultural Year to strengthen cultural ties and highlight India's rich heritage.
"The Government of India has decided that 2026 will be celebrated as the India-Spain Cultural Year. This will not only strengthen cultural partnerships but also bring our glorious past to the world. People want to closely understand India's cultural heritage - our arts, music, dance, traditions - all of which are becoming centres of global attraction," he added.
Yadav highlighted India's growing presence in international sports, particularly in football. He noted that Indian youth are connecting with renowned football clubs, such as those in La Liga in Spain, and exploring future opportunities.
"India has also made its mark on the international stage in the field of sports. Our children are connecting with famous football clubs, such as those in La Liga, in countries like Spain. These young players are exploring future possibilities in football. Spain has excellent sports facilities and clubs, and our effort is to ensure that Indian youth get opportunities there," he said.
