"Gimmick to keep Rahul Gandhi busy": BJP attacks Congress party's 'Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Shergill said, "The Nyaya Yatra is just a gimmick to keep Rahul Gandhi busy. The true objective, true DNA of this Yatra is 'Bharat Badnam Karo Yatra'. Rahul Gandhi has got addicted to insulting the nation, insulting the army and rubbing shoulders with anti-India elements. In this 'Bharat Badnam Yatra' 2.0, Rahul Gandhi should also indulge into introspection as to why Congress is now collapsing like a house of cards?"

New Delhi [India], January 14 (ANI): Criticizing the Congress party's 'Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra,' BJP spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill asserted that the yatra is merely a ploy to keep Rahul Gandhi occupied, branding the grand old party as a "poorly run mismanaged NGO" under Rahul Gandhi's leadership.
Shergill alleged that the true aim of Nyaya Yatra is to denigrate the nation and urged Rahul Gandhi to address the internal discord within the Congress, which he deemed responsible for the party's decline.
The BJP leader also spoke on senior congress leader, Milind Deora's exit from the party on Sunday and said, "Milind Deora's exit from the Congress is not surprising. No self-respecting individual who believes working for the nation, who believes in pro-development politics can survive in the Congress."
"Congress has now become a "poorly mismanaged NGO" run by Rahul Gandhi and his set of extreme-left ideology leading darbaris who have taken a vow to expeditiously finish off Congress, insult the nation and insult religion, and they are working on this project over time and aggressively," he added.
Taking a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the BJP leader said, "Rahul Gandhi in this Nyaya Yatra should also introspect on the 'Anyaya' (injustice) he has done to the Congress party, the Anyaya he has done to the young talent and the Anyaya he is doing towards the development of the nation."
Jaiveer Shergill also mentioned the decline of Ayodhya's Lord Ram Pran Pratishtha ceremony by the Congress top leadership and said, "It is interesting to see that congress top leadership which rejected the invitation to Ram mandir is now being rejected by the people of India and the close associates who believed in Rahul Gandhi."
Congress under Rahul Gandhi is collapsing and has become a cosy club of extreme left leaning ideology darbaris who have taken up a project to finish off the Congress party, he said.
"The truth of the matter is that the nation is looking forward to 2024 where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister for the third time of the country. Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Badnam Karo Yatra will fall flat on its face. Only request to Rahul Gandhi this time is to please refrain from insulting the nation, insulting the army and please refrain from advancing China's propaganda," said the BJP leader.
This comes after Rahul Gandhi on Sunday kickstarted his second large-scale outreach programme 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' from ethnic strife-torn Manipur's Thoubal district.
Incidentally, the Congress suffered a major loss on Sunday when senior Congress leader Milind Deora announced his resignation from the party.
Deora announced his exit from the grand old party following differences in seat-sharing. He tendered his resignation from the party's primary membership earlier in the day.
The yatra began at noon from the Khongjom War Memorial. It will cover a distance of 6,713 km, straddling 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 337 assembly segments and covering 110 districts. The yatra will conclude in Mumbai on March 20 after 67 days.
A follow-up to the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' which saw Rahul Gandhi cover more than 3,000 kilometres on foot - from Kanya Kumari to Srinagar--the latest campaign, Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0, will be a hybrid one.
Rahul Gandhi said that the party was compelled to do a hybrid yatra from east to west in the wake of the upcoming general elections. (ANI)
