Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], January 3 (ANI): Four people were arrested after more than 30 kg of Ganja was recovered from their possession in Telangana's Hyderabad, police said on Tuesday.
The estimated value of seized ganja is more than Rs 3 lakh.
According to officials, the arrested accused, namely Shaik Abdul Faisal, Mohammed Sami Uddin, Mohd Amer, and Husna Fatima alias Sajeeda Tabassum, were caught red-handed by the sleuths of the Commissioner's Task Force, South-East Zone team, Hyderabad and staff of Kanchanbagh Police Station on Monday.
The accused--Shaik Faisal and Mohd Sami--hatched a plan to get a large quantity of Ganja to Hyderabad on the occasion of the New Year to earn illegal gains, police said.
However, the police added that the main supplier of the contraband items, Rithesh, a resident of Koraput district, Odisha, is at large and yet to be apprehended.
