Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], September 23 (ANI): Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has lashed out at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for not condemning the remarks of Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu.
"The Gandhi family has a lot for the country, but if Ravneet Singh Bittu, who himself has come from Congress to BJP, gives such a statement, then it is condemnable," Gehlot said.
He further said that the BJP and RSS should have issued a statement on the comments made by Union minister.
Gehlot was referring to an earlier remark made by the Minister of State for Railways in which he said that if there should be an award to catch the number one terrorist, it should go to Rahul Gandhi.
"Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian, he has spent most of his time outside. He does not love his country much because he goes abroad and says everything in the wrong way. The people who are most wanted, separatists, and experts in making bombs, guns, and shells, have appreciated what Rahul Gandhi has said. The enemies of the country who try to blow up planes, trains, and roads, are in support of Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is the country's number one terrorist. The biggest enemy of the country whom the agencies should catch is Rahul Gandhi today," he said earlier.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered against Union Minister Bittu for his alleged remarks against Rahul Gandhi over the statements the latter made in the US regarding Sikhs, police said on September 19.
The case was filed at High Grounds police station, Bengaluru based on a complaint by one of the officer-bearers of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.
Gehlot further spoke on the committee formed in Rajasthan regarding the new districts formed by the Congress government.
He said, "There is a new district every 40 kilometres in Haryana. The geographical conditions of Rajasthan were such that there was a need to form new districts here, but every government has its own different thinking. I think that even now more new districts should be formed in Rajasthan." (ANI)
