"Futuristic": Haryana Minister Anil Vij praises State's 2.05 lakh crore budget

Haryana state Minister Anil Vij termed this year's state budget, which was presented by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, as "futuristic."

Chandigarh (Haryana) [India], March 17 (ANI): Haryana Minister Anil Vij termed this year's state budget, which was presented by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday as "futuristic."
Speaking to ANI, Vij said that the budget has been prepared keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India. He further claimed that the budget had been prepared after studying eleven thousand suggestions.
"This is a futuristic budget. It has been prepared keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a developed India. Before preparing it, the Chief Minister received about 11,000 suggestions. This budget has been prepared after studying them. Provisions have been made in every sector to bring development to every section and every corner of Haryana. I have seen many budgets. I think this is the best one," Vij said.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini earlier today, while presenting the state's budget of Rs 2,05,017 crore, announced the launch of the Lado Laxmi Yojana, under which women in the state will receive financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month.
He added that a provision of Rs 5,000 crore has been made for the scheme in the 2025-26 financial year.
"Lado Laxmi Yojana will be started in the state to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,100 per month to women," Saini said in a post on X.
In a move to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in the state, Saini also announced the creation of a "Department of Future." "To realize the vision of a developed Haryana, a Department of Future will be established," he stated.
The CM said that under this department, the government plans to develop AI hubs in Gurugram and Panchkula.
Congress leader and former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda accused the BJP government of failing to implement many schemes on the ground and alleged that it is pushing the state into a "debt trap."
"Various schemes have been announced in the budget, but they are not visible on the ground... They are working to drown the state in debt... We are moving towards a debt trap...no provision has been made in the budget for the development of the state," Hooda said. (ANI)
