Four Maoists arrested in joint ops in Chhattisgarh

Earlier on Wednesday, the alert troops of White Knight Corps of the Indian army conducted a joint search Operation Sherikalan in Gen Area Poonch, and recovered approx 4 kg of explosives. They have been destroyed in situ.

The 72 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a free medical camp on Thursday in Jamola, a remote hilly area of Rajouri. Jitendra Singh Yadav, the Commanding Officer of the 72 Battalion CRPF, stated, "This medical camp has been organised by the 72 Battalion. We have organised these camps in other places also, because this is a very remote area, and people might not get the proper medical facilities."

Jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 84 Battalion stationed at Chanderkote in Ramban district broke into celebration on Sunday night after India lifted the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 trophy, defending New Zealand national cricket team by a massive 96-run margin.

"130 cadres of the CPI (Maoist) party surrendered today. They handed over 124 weapons to the police, including INSAS and AK-47 rifles. All these weapons were looted from the police force. This is a major success for the government and the Telangana Police Force," Reddy said.

As many as 130 Maoists surrendered along with 124 sophisticated weapons before the government in the presence of the Chief Minister at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Hyderabad on Saturday.
