Foundation stone laid of Integrated Public Health Laboratory in North Tripura

Foundation stone of the integrated Public Health Laboratory under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission is being laid at North Tripura, Unakoti and Gomoti district hospitals on Friday.

Agartala (Tripura) [India], January 12 (ANI): Foundation stone of the integrated Public Health Laboratory under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission was laid in North Tripura, Unakoti and Gomoti district hospitals on Friday.
Intending to ensure health for all, the state government is making efforts to bring health services to people under the guidance of the Government of India.
To provide accessible and quality health services to the people, various health tests will be conducted free of cost in modern laboratories in the districts.
Foundation stone laying of Integrated Public Health Laboratories in Hyderabad, Rai Bareli including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura were laid on January 12.
State Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha unveiled the foundation stone of the Integrated Public Health Laboratory of North Tripura, Unakoti and Goamti District Hospitals in the presence of Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers Dr Mansukh Mandavya through video conference at Prajna Bhaban, Agartala in Tripura.
The video conference was attended by Prof. SP Singh Baghel, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare and People's Affairs among others.
Integrated public health laboratories will henceforth facilitate rapid testing, disease detection, and management of disease outbreaks. This will work to improve disease monitoring, diagnosis and treatment at the district level. Initially, various laboratories will be brought under one roof, making public health testing more complete and accurate.
It is equipped with a modern infrastructure and technology that will be able to test various complex health-related diseases and also be able to provide quick results. This will lead to rapid diagnosis during a disease epidemic or emergency. The Integrated Public Health Laboratory will provide information for public health decision-making by monitoring disease trends, and disease prevention patterns using advanced data management systems.
Integrated Public Health Laboratories at Block Level, State Level and National Level act as a hub of a network by connecting the laboratories. Integrated public health laboratories will play an important role in the diagnosis of various diseases. Examining blood, urine, tissue and other body samples will help determine the cause of the disease. This will ensure proper treatment and improve the patient's health.
About 147 tests will be conducted at the Integrated Public Health Laboratory. There will be Microbiologists, Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants and Laboratory Attendants to carry out the entire work smoothly.
The state government aims to set up integrated public health laboratories in every district. So far Integrated Public Health Laboratories have been set up in North Tripura, Unakoti and Gomoti districts. Integrated Public Health Laboratories in Dhalai and South Tripura districts have been equipped and will be commissioned very soon.
The work of setting up two more Integrated Public Health Laboratories at Khoai District Hospital and Melaghar Sub-Divisional Hospital of Sipahijala District is in full swing. (ANI)
