Foetus found in Air Asia: Police registers FIR

New Delhi [India], July 26 (ANI): A day after the body of a newborn infant was found on Guwahati-Delhi Air Asia flight, the Delhi police on Thursday registered an FIR in the connection.

New Delhi [India], July 26 (ANI): A day after the body of a newborn infant was found on Guwahati-Delhi Air Asia flight, the Delhi police on Thursday registered an FIR in the connection.
The FIR has been lodged under section 318 of the Indian Penal code (IPC).
The infant was, reportedly, found lifeless and abandoned in one of the plane's lavatories.
According to the official statement of the airline, Delhi Police were alerted and a doctor from the medical team at Delhi International Airport confirmed that the baby had been delivered onboard.
It further stated that a suspect had been held back by the police for further investigation. (ANI)
