Five arrested in murder, robbery case in Delhi

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police successfully cracked the murder cum robbery case in the area of Samaypur Badli Police station within 24 hours, and arrested five accused in connection to the same, officials said on Thursday.

New Delhi [India], September 28 (ANI): The Crime Branch of Delhi Police successfully cracked the murder cum robbery case in the area of Samaypur Badli Police station within 24 hours, and arrested five accused in connection to the same, officials said on Thursday. 
According to officials, on the night of September 26, the accused were inebriated when they launched a brutal attack on two passers-by using a knife, iron rod, and a stick (lathi) which resulted in fatal wounds to one of the victims, identified as Sidhhu, who later on succumbed to his injuries, while his companion, Manish, also sustained serious wounds and is currently undergoing treatment in a local hospital. 
Three of the five accused have been identified as Ikram, Durgesh Mishra, and Sunil and two accused are CCLs (Children in Conflict with Law) who had committed murder cum robbery in the Samaypur Badli Police station area, and an FIR was filed in the case on Wednesday on the complaint of the injured, who was also stabbed multiple times, said officials. 
One another CCL who was recently released from an observation home in a case of an attempt to murder is still absconding. 
The items recovered in the investigation include an iron rod and a stick (lathi) used in the commission of crime, said officials. 
It was revealed during the investigation that the victims were in the business of supplying drinking water and were going to collect their pending payment at the time of the incident.
Specific information was received by HC Vikas Dabas about the two CCLs involved in the case, on the basis of which multiple raids were conducted on September 27 and September 28 at the hideouts of the remaining accused persons in Delhi and three more accused were apprehended along with the two CCLs, said officials.
