Five accused held over alleged sexual assault of two girls in national capital

Five people have been arrested after two girls aged 17 and 22 filed a police complaint alleging they were sexually assaulted on November 10 in the Kasturba Niketan area, said Delhi police.

New Delhi [India], November 12 (ANI): Five people have been arrested after two girls aged 17 and 22 filed a police complaint alleging they were sexually assaulted on November 10 in the Kasturba Niketan area, said Delhi police.
The accused have been identified as Shivam Parchha, Aman Pal, Ashish, Amar Mehra and Abhishek. The car in which the alleged crime took place has been recovered, said Delhi Police. The accused were traced through technical surveillance and local inquiry following raids at various locations in Delhi, added the statement.
As per the police, information regarding a Medico Legal Casse was received from Safdarjung Hospital on November 10 at about 4 am regarding sexual assault with a minor (17 yrs) old 'S' and her aunt 'R' (22 yrs.) a resident of Ashram, Delhi.
The brief of the statement of the victim is that, they went near Underpass club near Defence Colony around 12 midnight. They were standing outside, when they spotted people who arrived there in a car. The people in the car asked the victims to wait and assured them to take them to another club at Malviya Nagar or Gurgaon. Thereafter, they started talking to them and exchanged phone numbers with the victim. When the victims sat inside the car they offered them cold drinks laced with alcohol.
Later, the accused allegedly took the victims to various places including Gurgaon. Thereafter, they took them to a house in Kasturba Nikatan and sexually assaulted them. Later, one of the accused dropped them near the Aunt's home at Ashram. Next morning the vcitims went to Safdarjung Hospital. The minor niece was admitted by the doctor at SJH for abdominal pain and the police were informed.
Following MLC and statement of the victims a case u/s 64(1), 70(1), and 4 POCSO Act was registered. Further investigation into the matter is underway. More details are awaited. (ANI)
