"First quarter's pension should reach accounts of all beneficiaries by June 30": CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed that the funds for the first quarter of the upcoming financial year's pensions for senior citizens, destitute women, people with disabilities, and individuals affected by leprosy be sent to the bank accounts of eligible individuals by June 30.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 8 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed that the funds for the first quarter of the upcoming financial year's pensions for senior citizens, destitute women, people with disabilities, and individuals affected by leprosy be sent to the bank accounts of eligible individuals by June 30.
He emphasized that all eligible individuals in the state should receive the benefits of these pension schemes and that new beneficiaries should be added by running a campaign.
In an important meeting on Saturday, the Chief Minister reviewed the pension schemes and stated that currently, Rs 1000 is being directly transferred every month into the bank accounts of 55.68 lakh elderly individuals, 33.54 lakh destitute women, and 10.40 lakh divyangs.
Similarly, a monthly pension of Rs 3000 is being provided to 11,551 leprosy patients.
He also directed departmental officials to conduct the annual verification of the current pension beneficiaries as per regulations and ensure that the first quarter instalment of the current financial year is provided by June 30. (ANI)
