Fiji's Deputy PM Manoa Kamikamica pays courtesy visit to Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], November 28 (ANI): Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji Manoa Kamikamica paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar, a release said on Thursday.
As per the release, in the conversation of this courtesy call meeting with the Chief Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji expressed the readiness of mutual cooperation so that Fiji also gets the benefit of the global fame that Gujarat has gained in the agricultural sector, including the dairy industry.
Apart from the dairy industry, he also worked on AI and ICT. And discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Gujarat and Fiji in the cyber security sector.
The Chief Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji had extensive discussions in this meeting about the fact that Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat, has made Gujarat a road model for development and a growth engine by setting a new record of development.
He also recalled that Narendrabhai Modi visited Fiji for the first time in 2014 after assuming office as the Prime Minister.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that Gujarat has taken the lead in renewable energy and green hydrogen production and said that the world's largest hybrid renewable energy park is under construction in Kutch.
Not only this, Gujarat has a waste-to-energy policy encouraging biomass, biogas, and biofuel in the agriculture sector as well.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji also said that he can support Gujarat in ethanol production in the context that sugarcane is produced on a large scale in Fiji.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel invited a high-level delegation of Fiji to visit Gujarat to study and observe the achievements of Gujarat in various sectors as well as the policies that Gujarat has formulated for various industries and emerging sectors as a policy-driven state.
In this context, the Chief Minister said that Gujarat will provide its support in the sectors in which Fiji needs participation and guidance.
The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the high-level delegation's visit to Gujarat will establish a strong relationship of effective and fruitful partnership between India-Gujarat-Fiji.
He also added that Gujarat is determined to be a leader in Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi's vision of 'Developed India @ 2047', the release said.
A Road Map of Gujarat @ 2047 has been prepared for this purpose, and priority has been given to ease of doing business along with earning well and living well.
He also informed the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji that Giftcity has emerged as an international financial hub.
After the courtesy call with the Chief Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji will also visit Gift City and Amul-Anand.
In this courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Chief Minister's Additional Chief Secretary MK Das, Principal Secretary Industries Department Mamata Verma and Secretary to Chief Minister Avantika Singh also joined, the release added. (ANI)
