"Fastest-growing economy, nobody can compete with it": Chandrababu Naidu dismisses Trump's 'dead economy' remark

The Chief Minister further praised India's rapid economic rise under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership over the past 11 years, noting that "the country has moved from the 11th to the 4th largest economy in the world, with projections to reach the 3rd position by 2028."

Vijayawada (AndhraPradesh) [India], August 12 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu dismissed the US President Donald Trump's 'dead economy' remark, reaffirming his faith in the Indian economy by emphasising that 'India is currently the fastest-growing major economy and "nobody can compete with it", according to the statement from CMO.
While addressing the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally campaign in Vijayawada on Monday, CM Chandrababu Naidu went on to say that, "US President said ours (India's) is a dead economy. No, it is the only economy moving ahead fast in the world. Nobody can compete with it." He further went on to add, "Though initially India was treated as a 'poor country incapable of anything' at one time, today it is emerging as the 'most powerful nation."
The Chief Minister further praised India's rapid economic rise under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership over the past 11 years, noting that "the country has moved from the 11th to the 4th largest economy in the world, with projections to reach the 3rd position by 2028."
"Those trying to deny jobs to Indians will soon realise that their countries won't develop without Indians," the CM said.
"Today, some people may create temporary difficulties. They may increase taxes or impose duties, believing that such measures can halt India's progress. But this is nothing more than their imagination," he said. CM Naidu further noted that "some people" are advocating for denying jobs to Indians, but emphasised that the day will soon come when they will realise that without Indians, "those countries will not be able to develop," said CM Chandrababu Naidu in a CMO release.
Earlier on July 31, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi agreed with Donald Trump's statement that the Indian economy is "dead" and said he is "glad" that the US President has stated a fact.
Speaking to reporters, Rahul Gandhi said that the whole world knows the Indian economy is "dead" except for the Prime Minister and Finance Minister.
"Yes, he is right. Everybody knows this except the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister. Everybody knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. I am glad that President Trump has stated a fact... The entire world knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. BJP has finished the economy to help Adani," Rahul Gandhi said.
Meanwhile, on July 30, US President Donald Trump made a shocking statement on his social media platform Truth Social after the announcement of 25 per cent tariffs against India and threatened an additional "penalty" for importing Russian oil.
"I don't care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India; their tariffs are too high, among the highest in the world." Trump said. (ANI)
