Farmer attempts suicide by consuming pesticide over land dispute in Telangana's Khammam

Khammam (Telangana) [India], July 4 (ANI): A farmer attempted suicide by consuming pesticides in Khammam district of Telangana on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred on Aliya Thanda in Karepalli Mandal of Khammam district.
According to the police, the suicide attempt is believed to be related to an ongoing land dispute, which is currently pending in court. The farmer is currently receiving treatment.
The farmer was identified as Pachipala Bhadraya.
"Pachipala Bhadraya, a resident of Aliya Thanda in Karepalli Mandal of Khammam district, attempted to take his own life by consuming pesticides at his land today morning. The suicide attempt is believed to be related to an ongoing land dispute, which is currently pending in court. Bhadraya is receiving treatment at Khammam Hospital. As of now, we did not receive any complaint about the incident," the police said. (ANI)
