Fake degree racket busted in Delhi, 2 arrested

The Delhi Police Crime Branch busted a racket that allegedly forged university degrees and mark sheets with the arrest of two people, an official said on Friday.

New Delhi [India], August 26 (ANI): The Delhi Police Crime Branch busted a racket that allegedly forged university degrees and mark sheets and arrested two people for selling forged papers, an official said on Friday. 
The accused who are both residents of Delhi have been identified as Shiv Shankar, age 43, and Sunil Mishra, age 39. 
According to the police, the accused were involved in a racket who used to prepare forged and fake degrees, mark sheets, etc. of various universities, including Mewar University- Rajasthan, MUIT University-Noida, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University-Rajasthan, Vinayak Missions University-Salem, MNS ITI-Haryana, Himalayan Garhwal University, Kalinga University, etc.  
As per the police officials, on August 24, 2023, secret information was received by ASI Deepak regarding a gang that prepares forged and fake documents of various private universities in India and presents these fake/forged documents to the students/beneficiaries as genuine in lieu of money. 
Accused Shiv Shankar is the mastermind, and he has been running this fake racket for the last 5-6 years. He was previously involved in a similar type of case at PS Mianwali Nagar, the police said. 
He has been preparing the fake documents of Mewar University- Rajasthan, MUIT University-Noida, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University-Rajasthan, Vinayak Missions University-Salem, MNS ITI-Haryana, Himalayan Garhwal University, Kalinga University, etc. (All are private universities), the police added. 
The accused were providing the following higher education documents at high prices, like B.Sc., BBA, MBA, B.Tech., M.Tech., MCA, B.Sc., BA/B.Com etc.
"Accused Sunil Mishra has been working with accused Shiv Shankar for the last two years as a tele-caller, receiver, delivery of fake documents, and handler of beneficiary visitors. He is a very close associate of the accused, Shiv Shankar," said police official. (ANI)
