Extortion case: Chargesheet filed against Dawood's brother

Thane (Maharashtra) [India], November 22 (ANI): A chargesheet has been filed against Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar in an extortion case, police said here on Wednesday.

Extortion case: Chargesheet filed against Dawood's brother

Thane (Maharashtra) [India], November 22 (ANI): A chargesheet has been filed against Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar in an extortion case, police said here on Wednesday.

Apart from Kaskar, chargesheet has been filed against six others too.

"Thane Police has filed a 1,645-page chargesheet against Iqbal Kaskar and others for extortion. During search operation, we also seized gold that was extorted from few jewellers. Currently, investigation is underway," Rajkumar Kothmire told ANI

The 1,645-page chargesheet includes confessional statements from all seven of the accused, of which four have been arrested while three are wanted.

On September 18, Thane anti-extortion cell (AEC) arrested Kaskar on the charges of extortion, from his Mumbai residence after a complaint was filed by a builder who was facing extortion threats since 2013. (ANI)
