New Delhi [India], February 2 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from the Jangpura Assembly constituency, Manish Sisodia, expressed confidence on Sunday that AAP would win the Delhi elections.
Sisodia further said that everyone including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) believed that Arvind Kejriwal would be returning to power.
Speaking to ANI, Sisodia said "Everyone including the BJP believes that Kejriwal will be returning to power. It is the work of the Aam Aadmi Party that people are coming to see. BJP only knows how to curse people..."
Meanwhile, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi were losing the elections.
He further added that the BJP government would focus on improving facilities for workers and poor people in Delhi.
"Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi are losing the election. BJP government is going to be formed in Delhi. We will make Delhi the best national capital region in the world. We will increase facilities for workers and poor people as well as industrial belts. We will provide electricity and its price will be reasonable. No one can tolerate the increased electricity bills that are coming today," Tiwari said while speaking to ANI.
Tiwari further expressed confidence that the people of Delhi would bring the BJP to power on February 5.
"On February 5, the people of Delhi will bring BJP to power by pressing the lotus button," he stated.
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to take place on February 5, while counting of votes will be held on February 8.
The Congress, which was in power for 15 consecutive years in Delhi, has suffered setbacks in the last two Assembly elections and has failed to win any seat.
In contrast, the AAP dominated the 2020 Assembly elections by winning 62 out of 70 seats while the BJP got only eight seats. (ANI)
