"Epic triumph for Team India": Congress leaders congratulate for win against Pakistan in CT 2025

The India national cricket team ended up winning the high-profile ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan by a margin of six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. The Indian team has unofficially knocked hosts Pakistan out of the tournament.

New Delhi [India], February 23 (ANI): The India national cricket team ended up winning the high-profile ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan by a margin of six wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. The Indian team has unofficially knocked hosts Pakistan out of the tournament, whereas the Rohit Sharma-led side has almost secured a place in the knockouts of the tournament.
Various Indian political leaders such as the Leader of the Opposition (Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and others congratulated and celebrated India's win.
Rahul Gandhi took to 'X' and celebrated India's win: "Epic triumph for Team India! A masterclass in teamwork and resilience, with Kohli's century leading the charge. A glorious win for every heart that beats for Indian cricket!"


Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge too took to 'X' and congratulated the Indian team for its win against Pakistan: "The Indian cricket team's decisive victory over Pakistan in today's ICC ChampionsTrophy 2025 match is commendable. On behalf of the nation, a word of appreciation for Virat Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav. Congratulations to the team on their performance in this prestigious encounter. Thanks for making us proud. All the best for future endeavours."

The Indian team was set target of 242 runs by Pakistan which they chased down with immense ease, courtesy of a brilliant century from Virat Kohli. (ANI)
