Education ministry launches new curriculum framework, Board exams to be conducted twice

New Delhi [India], August 23 (ANI) Board examinations will be conducted twice a year and students will be allowed to retain the best score, as per the new curriculum framework launched by the Education Ministry on Wednesday.
"Board exams will be offered at least twice a year to ensure students have time and opportunity to perform well. Students can then appear for a board exam in subjects they have completed and feel ready for. They will also be allowed to retain the best score," said the ministry
As per the new framework, the choice of subjects in classes 11,12 will not be restricted to streams, students to get the flexibility to choose. The new framework for school education is in sync with National Education Policy 2020 (NEP)
Union education ministry on Wednesday launched the new curriculum framework for school education in sync with National Education Policy 2020 (NEP).
“Class 11, 12 students need to study two languages, and at least one language must be Indian. Additonally, textbooks to be developed for 2024 academic session,” said the ministry. (ANI)
