ED files supplementary prosecution complaint against five in connection with RPSC paper leak

The Enforcement Directorate, Jaipur Zonal Office has filed a supplementary prosecution complaint (SPC) against five accused in connection with the Rajasthan Public Service Commission paper leak case.

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], April 18 (ANI): The Enforcement Directorate, Jaipur Zonal Office has filed a supplementary prosecution complaint (SPC) against five accused in connection with the Rajasthan Public Service Commission paper leak case.
The complaint was filed before the Special Judge PMLA/CBI-3 in Jaipur on February 28 under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The court has taken cognizance of the complaint, the ED informed in a press release on Thursday.
The accused are namely: Pukhraj, Peera Ram, Suresh Kumar AKA Suresh Sau, Vijay Damore and Arun Sharma.
ED has initiated investigation on the basis of FIRs and chargesheets registered/filed by Rajasthan Police, under various sections of Indian Penal Code against Babulal Katara and other accused persons, the release stated.
ED investigation revealed that these suspected persons leaked the GS papers of Senior Teacher Grade II Competitive Examination, 2022 to be conducted by RPSC on December 21, 22 and 24 at various places in Rajasthan.
In this case, ED has earlier conducted two searches at 22 premises of accused persons on June 5 and October 13, last year, resulting in the recovery of incriminating documents/digital records.
Further, ED has also provisionally attached movable and immovable properties worth Rs. 3.11 Crore of Babulal Katara, Anil Meena AKA Sher Singh Meena, and others vide PAO dated 18.08.2023 which has been confirmed by the Ld. Adjudicating Authority under PMLA, New Delhi on 19.01.2024.
Thereafter, ED took possession of two movable properties and nine immovable properties worth of around Rs 2.4 Crore situated at Ajmer, Jaipur, and Dungarpur in March 2024.
So far, ED has arrested eight accused persons namely: Babulal Katara, Anil Kumar Meena, Bhupendra Saran, Suresh Kumar, Vijay Damore, Peeraram, Pukhraj, and Arun Sharma under the provisions of PMLA. The cognizance of the prosecution complaint filed on November 9, 2023 against three accused persons namely Babulal Katara, Bhupendra Saran, and Anil Kumar Meena has been taken by Special Court (PMLA), Jaipur on January 24 this year.
Further investigation is under progress, the law enforcement agency stated. (ANI)
