ECI appoints IPS officer Vikram Jeet Duggal as SSP Amritsar (Rural)

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], Apr 17 (ANI): The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday appointed a 2007 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikram Jeet Duggal as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amritsar (Rural).

Chandigarh (Punjab) [India], Apr 17 (ANI): The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Wednesday appointed a 2007 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Vikram Jeet Duggal as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amritsar (Rural).
Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Punjab Dr S Karuna Raju said here: "In compliance of the orders of the ECI, Vikram Jeet Duggal, IPS (Telangana- 2007 ) is posted as SSP Amritsar (Rural) in place of Parampal Singh, PPS."
He further said that as per the ECI's instructions, Duggal is directed to join immediately and send compliance report in this regard immediately.
The ECI today also gave its nod for various proposals of Deputy Commissioner Officer in Jalandhar.
CEO Raju further said that commission allowed award of the purchase order for medicines/ consumables/ equipment etc. and continuance of procurement process for medicines/ consumables/ hospitals equipment etc.
He added that the Commission also approved the proposal for implementing the order of transfers of Ministerial Cadre at Deputy Commissioner Office in Jalandhar.
The Commission has given its approval subject to the conditions that no political mileage and publicity should be done by anyone.
Thirteen Lok Sabha constituencies in Punjab will vote on May 19 in the last phase of the election. The counting of votes will take place on May 23. (ANI)
