Ajmer (Rajasthan) [India], April 21 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Ajmer, Bhagirath Choudhary outlined accomplishments and plans for the region, promising continued development.
Choudhary cited the completion of the Pushkar-Merta railway line as a major achievement, along with the approval of two flyovers worth Rs 110 crores in Ajmer city. Additionally, he emphasized the allocation of funds for essential infrastructure such as hospitals, medical colleges, and the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, aimed at improving rural connectivity.
Highlighting achievements of the Bhajanlal government, Choudhary said "In Rajasthan, ERCP (Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project) has been introduced and Rupees 100 crores have been sanctioned to make coridoors".
For giving him a ticket for the second time from the Ajmer Lok Sabha constituency, Choudhary said that unlike the Congress which prioritizes family, the BJP gives opportunity to the common man.
"PM Modi's vision is sabka sath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas. Unlike the other opposition parties which give priority to their families, BJP has given the ticket to someone like me who belongs to a small farmer family, this is only possible in the BJP," Choudhary said.
Speaking on the development in Ajmer and future prospects, Choudhary said, "Ajmer was one of the first cities in India, which was selected as a smartcity for 2015, but it was the ruling Congress at that time in Rajasthan which hindered the process. But now we can say that the double engine government is in action here"
He further highlighted ERCP project, cut in diesel and petrol prices, Kisan Samman Nidhi being increased by Rs 2000 and the state government's action against paper leaks as some of the other development initiatives undertaken by the Bhajanlal government.
As the Lok Sabha elections approach for the remaining 13 seats out of 25 in Rajasthan, the political landscape in Ajmer constituency is heating up. This time, the battle in Ajmer is primarily between incumbent BJP candidate Bhagirath Choudhary and Congress nominee Ramchandra Choudhary.

Both the BJP and Congress have strategically fielded candidates from the Jat community, aiming to secure the Jat votes in the constituency.

In the previous Lok Sabha elections, BJP candidate and incumbent MP Bhagirath Choudhary won by a margin of nearly 400,000 votes. (ANI)
