Earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hits Manipur

People from across Manipur, under the banner of the Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD), staged a protest against the ongoing census process in the state. The demonstration took place at Ima Market in Imphal, where protesters voiced their opposition to the exercise.

Over 200 members joined the National People's Party (NPP), an NDA alliance partner, during a joining ceremony held in Imphal on Monday, where party leaders also strongly condemned the recent attack on youths from Manipur in Delhi.

Delhi Police on Monday apprehended all four accused, all juveniles, in connection with the alleged physical assault on a woman from Manipur near the Saket District Court complex.

"Prime Minister @narendramodi is now weaponising the President's recent remarks to manufacture a cynical political narrative around tribal and Scheduled Caste communities. Yet the same Prime Minister maintained a deafening silence when SC and ST citizens faced horrific violence in Manipur," AITC's X post read.

In a post on X, Delhi Police said, "Sir, this is to inform that A criminal case has been registered under appropriate sections of law. Delhi Police teams are in constant touch with the victim and are providing all necessary assistance. Multiple teams have already been deployed to identify and apprehend the accused at the earliest.
