During Doklam stand-off, Cong met China envoy: PM Modi

New Delhi [India], Feb. 7 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hit out at Congress President Rahul Gandhi for meeting the Chinese Ambassador during the recent border standoff at Doklam.

"Jab desh Doklam mein ladai ladd raha tha aap China ke logon se mil rahe the. (When the country was fighting in Doklam, you were meeting the people of China)," Prime Minister Modi said during the debate on the motion of thanks to the President's address in the Lok Sabha.

On January 5, Congress president Rahul Gandhi had met a delegation of the Communist Party of China leaders and discussed various issues.

Speaking of the Non-Performing Asset (NPA), Prime Minister Modi stated that it was time for the country to know that the Congress party was hundred percent behind the scam.

"It is time that people of the country know that NPA was your curse. The country should know that this was a business by you (Congress) and you are hundred percent responsible for it," Prime Minister Modi noted.

On December 13 last year, Prime Minister Modi had said that the NPA was the biggest scam of the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government.

"The hullabaloo over the NPAs is the biggest liability given to our government by the economists of the previous (UPA) government. NPA was the biggest scam of the UPA government. It was the much bigger scam than Commonwealth, 2G, Coal block allocation scams," Prime Minister Modi had said.(ANI)
