DRDO, ADA successfully execute first-ever arrested landing of LCA (Navy)

Punjab Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Sunil Jakhar said that in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition Congress are creating drama through mutual coordination to divert people's attention from real issues affecting Punjab.

According to the sources, the leaders discussed more than a hundred seats for the candidate list. They also discussed election strategy, campaigning, roadmap, slogans, and other aspects of the upcoming polls.

Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth said on Wednesday that India is committed to the welfare of its neighbours, while steadfast on zero-tolerance towards terrorism. He was delivering keynote address at the National Seminar: "Changing Dynamics in India's Neighbourhood", organised by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) as part of the activities being undertaken to commemorate its 25th Anniversary in New Delhi.

According to party sources, the meeting is likely to be attended by BJP president Nitin Nabin and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Senior leaders, including West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya, Union Minister and MP from West Bengal Sukanta Majumdar, MP Biplab Kumar Deb, and BJP national general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal, Bengal election incharge Bhupender Yadav, among others, are expected to participate in the discussions.

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy jointly conducted four successful in-flight release trials of the indigenous Air Droppable Container 'ADC-150' from the P8I aircraft off the coast of Goa between February 21 to March 1, at different extreme release conditions.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh released 'Defence Forces Vision 2047: A Roadmap for a Future-Ready Indian Military' at an event in South Block, New Delhi on Tuesday. This comprehensive blueprint has been articulated by Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff to transform the Defence Forces into a modern, integrated and technologically-advanced military capable of supporting India's aspiration to become Viksit Bharat by 2047.

The project titled "Development of Novel Antidote(s) for Highly Toxic Organophosphorous Compounds" has been approved with a total financial outlay of Rs 99.15 lakhs.

The Indian Navy has deployed INS Tarangini and INS Ikshak, along with maritime patrol aircraft, to assist in the Sri Lanka-led search and rescue operations for the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena, which sank on Wednesday after being struck by a US submarine torpedo.
