'Don't put extra pressure on students, make the whole education civic'

New Delhi [India], Sep 02 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that "We should not put extra pressure of civic education on the students but the need of the time is that we should make the whole education civic so that the students can be civic through the basic education system."

New Delhi [India], Sep 02 (ANI): Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia on Saturday said that "We should not put extra pressure of civic education on the students but the need of the time is that we should make the whole education civic so that the students can be civic through the basic education system."

The deputy Chief Minister was speaking on an event organised by Confederation of Education Excellence (CEE) on "Transforming India through Civic Education" in Delhi.

Addressing the event as the Chief Guest, Haryana Governor Kaptaan Singh Solanki said, "Central Government is regularly working on the area to promote the education system in India because if we promote the education system it will automatically develop the country."

The objective of the conclave was to highlight the essential need of educating the students and young generation towards the key factors required for the civilized society through Civic Education.

Major General (Rtd.) Shashi Asthana, Chief Instructor of United Service Institution (USI) of India, elaborated and covered the best ways and practices needed to educate the youth for the key features as Empathy, Humanity, Patriotism and Mankind.

Pravez Hayat, ADGP of Bureau of Police Research Development (BPRD) also appreciated the cause and offered to support in framing and designing short program to be delivered in institutions.

In the Education Awards a large number of Institutes, Individuals, Service Providers and Corporate Investing in Rural Education participated.

Lt. Gen. RC Chadha, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd.), A.K Ghosh, Air Vice Marshal (Retd), Anil Triguaayat, Former Ambassador of India to Jordan, Libya, S.K Kak, Former Founder Vice Chancellor of Mahamaya Technical University, Noida, and a few others also spoke on the occasion. (ANI)
