Doctor commits suicide after wife denies him non-veg food

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Jan. 12 (ANI): A doctor reportedly committed suicide in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar after his wife did not allow him to eat non-vegetarian food.

Doctor commits suicide after wife denies him non-veg food

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Jan. 12 (ANI): A doctor reportedly committed suicide in Lucknow's Gomti Nagar after his wife did not allow him to eat non-vegetarian food.

According to police sources, the doctor, identified as Umashankar, committed suicide by hanging himself in his home on Thursday night.

Umashankar had an argument with his wife Deepti, who is a sales tax official, over having non-vegetarian food last night.

Following the argument, Umashankar committed suicide and his wife did not come to know until she got up in the morning

Deepti soon informed the police about the suicide.

The police have sent the body for the postmortem and began an investigation into the matter. (ANI)
