Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], July 27 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth on Sunday said that detailed discussions on Operation Sindoor will begin in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from tomorrow, accusing the Opposition of avoiding it since the Parliament session began.
The minister told ANI, "From tomorrow, discussions on Operation Sindoor will take place in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Ever since the Parliament session began, we were ready for it, but the opposition had no such intention."
Slamming the Opposition for disrupting proceedings, Seth said, "They (the opposition) only want to stay in the headlines... Solutions come from discussions, but they only run away from discussions... The people of the country see everything. You were not elected just to make noise in the House all day and tear papers."
The minister further stated that the government was prepared to give a full explanation in Parliament about the Sindoor operation and how it was carried out under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Meanwhile, the sources said discussion on Operation Sindoor will begin in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
Lok Sabha is set to discuss key legislations, including a high-stakes special discussion on 'Operation Sindoor' India's military response to the Pahalgham terror attack.
After an opening week marked by adjournments, the lower house of Parliament is set to discuss the country's strong, successful, and decisive Operation Sindoor, as per the list of business notices issued by Lok Sabha.
The first week of the Monsoon session of Parliament witnessed major disruptions with the surprise resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar as Vice President.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to initiate the discussion on Operation Sindhoor in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
Sources said that Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and BJP MPs Anurag Thakur and Nishikant Dubey are also expected to take part in the discussion in Lok Sabha.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to intervene in the discussion in the Lok Sabha. He may also intervene in the discussion in the Rajya Sabha. (ANI)
