New Delhi [India], Sep 9 (ANI): Days after Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao termed Congress president Rahul Gandhi as the country's biggest "buffoon", senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh put out a scathing tweet addressed to Rao, calling him an "ungrateful man".
"Telengana was given by Congress against all odds and this man uses abusive language against Congress President. Shame on you KCR. People of Telengana should punish you for being so ungrateful," he tweeted.

Hitting back at the senior Congress leader for his remark, KCR's son K. T. Rama Rao asserted that Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh as an independent state because of a massive movement led by his father. He also criticised Singh for tweeting the wrong spelling of Telangana in a public domain.
"Firstly, learn to spell Telangana sir. Secondly, Telangana was not given by Congress. You seem to think it was your Jaagir and the people are slaves of your Delhi sultanath. The people's movement led by KCR Ji conferred a compulsion to which your party had to yield," he tweeted.

Reacting to Rahul Gandhi's gesture in the Parliament towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, KCR on Thursday had described the Congress Chief as "the biggest buffoon in the country", while addressing a press conference after the dissolution of the Telangana Assembly.
The Telangana Chief Minister has, since then, faced flak from a number of political leaders for his remark on the Gandhi scion.
On Friday, Nationalist Congress Party of India (NCP) leader Tariq Anwar said Telangana CM's statement reflected his "squalid thinking" while Communist Party of India (CPI) leader D. Raja disapproved the language used by KCR. (ANI)
