Delhi's air quality at 'very poor' category on Friday

A bomb threat mail, which was sent to the Meteorological Department Hyderabad on early Friday morning, claiming the implantation of 14 RDX Bombs at the Hyderabad IMD office, turned out to be a hoax.

The IMD staff immediately alerted the police, who swung into action. The employees were evacuated to a safe location, and the police, along with the bomb squad, conducted a thorough search of the premises, checking every room.

Most parts of India will continue to experience a surge in temperatures in the coming days of the week, with 4-6°C above normal over many parts of Northwest India and 2-4°C above normal over Central India.

According to temple authorities, the eclipse will commence at 3:21 PM and continue until 6:47 PM. As per established religious customs followed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the temple will be closed from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Speaking to ANI, he said, "The weather in Rajasthan has taken a turn, with temperatures reaching 35 degrees in most districts. Currently, minimum and maximum temperatures are being recorded 2-5 degrees above normal in most parts of the state. The maximum temperature recorded in Barmer was 36.5 degrees, which is 4.5 degrees above normal."

According to the India Meteorological Department, a total lunar eclipse will occur when the whole Moon comes under the umbral shadow of the Earth, and a partial lunar eclipse occurs only when a part of the Moon comes under the shadow of the Earth.

The air quality in East Delhi's Anand Vihar area deteriorated to the "very poor" category on Wednesday morning, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) being recorded at 342 at 8:00 AM, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data.

Minimum temperatures witnessed a slight dip across Punjab and Haryana on Saturday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Meteorological Centre Chandigarh, reporting near-normal conditions in Haryana and above-normal temperatures in Punjab.

The air quality in the national capital saw significant improvement on Thursday with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 169 in "moderate" category at 8 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

However, the notice clarified that measures under Stage I of the GRAP will continue across the National Capital Region (NCR) to ensure that air quality does not deteriorate further.
