Delhi Water Minister Atishi on Saturday asked Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to resolve the issue of residents in Peeragarhi getting blue, foamy water from their taps. She asked the Chief Secretary to submit a detailed report to her by July 29 at 5 pm in this regard.

New Delhi [India], July 28 (ANI): Delhi Water Minister Atishi on Saturday asked Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar to resolve the issue of residents in Peeragarhi getting blue, foamy water from their taps.
She asked the Chief Secretary to submit a detailed report to her by July 29 at 5 pm in this regard.
"It has come to my attention from a social media video that some residents of Peeragarhi have been receiving bright blue foamy water. This is a very shocking incident and needs urgent intervention. This could be just the tip of a bigger underlying problem and could have very serious consequences in future. This needs to be addressed immediately," Atishi said in her direction to the Chief Secretary.
"The Chief Secretary is therefore directed to: Call an urgent meeting of all senior officials from concerned departments and resolve the issue at the earliest.
"Take immediate action on all surrounding polluting units, whoever is found to be violating pollution norms. A detailed report is to be submitted to the office of the undersigned by Monday, July 29, at 5pm," she added in her letter to the Chief Secretary. (ANI)
