Delhi: Three bike-borne thieves apprehended after chase, police injured

Delhi police have apprehended three bike-borne thieves after a chase as they fled away with a stolen Scooty on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

New Delhi [India], August 18 (ANI): Delhi police have apprehended three bike-borne thieves after a chase as they fled away with a stolen Scooty on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
According to Delhi Police, a team was on night patrolling duty at 2:40 AM on CV Raman Marg, when they saw three boys riding on Scooty from Julena's side towards Ring Road without helmets.
On suspicion, they signalled them to stop, but seeing the police, they tried to escape, police, however, chased them to some distance, and constable Vishal stopped his bike in front of Scooty.
The accused deliberately hit the bike, due to which, constable Vishal fell on the road and sustained injury in his arm. He was admitted to Holy Family Hospital and later discharged.
On enquiry, it was found that the boys had stolen the Scooty from the area of PS Sunlight Colony at 1:00 PM. They had intentions to steal some more motorcycles from Taimoor Nagar area.
All the three accused were apprehended. One stolen Scooty was also recovered from their possession in Sun Light area.
All three accused are aged between 14 to 15 years. (ANI)
