New Delhi [India], August 30 (ANI): The central district team of Delhi police has arrested as many as five kidnappers and rescued a minor girl from the Indo-Nepal border on Friday. Technical and manual surveillance led to the arrest of the accused. The minor has been handed over to the family. The child was arrested because her paternal uncle was under the debt of her maternal uncle and the accused identified as Krishan.
Earlier on Tuesday, a kidnapping incident was reported at Police Station IP estate in which the complainant stated that his daughter left home at about 8:30 pm to go to the general store, but she neither reached the general store nor returned home. He further stated that someone must have lured and taken his daughter away. Accordingly, case FIR No. 0285/2024 U/s 137(2) BNS was registered and an investigation was taken up. Later on, he received voice messages for ransom on WhatsApp from a Malaysian number.
A team was constituted to rescue the minor girl child and to nab the accused persons involved in the kidnapping.
The team immediately swung into action and visited the nearby areas and checked more than 300 CCTV cameras. The team technically analysed the number from which the message was received. Based on technical analysis of foreign numbers, it was found that there is a Sitamarhi Bihar connection to the case. Local intelligence and detailed interviews of family members also revealed monetary issues. It was found that one of the relatives of the girl child is also from the Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
During interrogation, the accused Krishan gave vague answers. He on sustained interrogation disclosed that he and his wife Shahida and three other friends namely Pintu, Sushil and Sunita planned and conspired to kidnap the minor girl. He further disclosed that Shahida lured the girl with chocolates and took her to a nearby shop where at some distance a car was present in which Pintu, Sushil and Sunita were sitting. There Krishan and Shahida handed over the girl to them, who took the girl to Bihar.
The team then further technically analysed the call details of all suspects/accused persons, and it was found that the minor girl was being transported to Nepal through Sitamarhi.
The team then flung into action and immediately team members reached Sitamarhi via air and nabbed Pintu, Sushil, Sunita and driver Lallan with the minor girl at the Indo-Nepal border.
During the investigation, they disclosed that they were taking the girl to the residence of Pintu's maternal Uncle in Nepal. They kidnapped the girl for ransom as the girl's paternal uncle was under the debt of Krishan.
Some more persons have been detained and have been questioned regarding their role in the case and legal action will be taken against them accordingly. (ANI)
