Delhi Police arrests two persons for robbing Army officer

Delhi Police has arrested two persons involved in robbing an Army officer at Malviya Nagar in Delhi, officials said.

New Delhi [India], September 14 (ANI): Delhi Police has arrested two persons involved in robbing an Army officer at Malviya Nagar in Delhi, officials said.
Delhi Police said that on September 13 they received a complaint from an Army officer that in the intervening night of September 12, he came to Triveni Complex, Malviya Nagar and in the parking complex he asked for a lighter from a person who suddenly started abusing him and tried to hold him from behind. He called two more persons and they all beat up the complainant mercilessly and robbed his mobile phones and other items from his car.
The complainant became unconscious and later he found that his two mobile phones, credit card, Voter I-card and Rs 10,000 in cash were missing. 
On statement of the complainant, a case under sections 394/411/34 of IPC was registered at PS Malviya Nagar and investigation was taken up.
A team was formed and specifically deployed to develop important clues about the robbers behind the incident.
During the course of investigation, the team collected the relevant CCTV footages and analyzed the same. Several teams for conducting patrolling in the area were formed and directed to intensify the patrolling in search of suspects. Consistent efforts were made by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence to develop important key inputs, Delhi police said.
Further, during analysing of CCTV, three suspects were noticed while committing the crime. Hence, the photographs of the suspects were developed through technical apparatus and circulated within police net to get their identities. The suspects were identified as Mithun alias Deepak, Mukul and Bobby. Raids were conducted at their hideouts and two accused namely Mithun alias Deepak and Mukul were arrested. They confessed to the above crime. Upon their instance, two robbed mobile phones were also recovered, police added.
Police said that raids are being conducted to arrest the remaining absconding accused person Bobby. (ANI)
