Delhi Police arrest 10 suspects for a minor's murder and sexual assault

New Delhi (India), July 26 (ANI): The Delhi Police have made significant progress in solving the brutal murder of a 14-year-old boy near Veer Chowk Bazaar. The victim was sodomized and stabbed 24 times before his body was thrown into the Munak Canal on the night of June 29-30.
"A 14-year-old boy was murdered near Veer Chowk Bazaar on the intervening night of 29- 30 June by a group of 12 to 13 people, which included at least six minors. The postmortem report has confirmed that the boy was sodomized and then stabbed 24 times, before his body was thrown into the Munak Canal, according to Delhi Police.
The Delhi Police have so far arrested 10 suspects in connection with the murder. The police team's clever disguise as Kanwariyas led to the successful detention of Monu and two minors in Meerut.
On July 18, the police team disguised as Kanwariyas detained one of the accused, Monu (19) and two more minors from a Kanwar camp in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The Police have caught 10 suspects so far. Among them are Krishna alias Bhola (19), his brother Suraj (18), Ashmit alias Challu (18), and four minors, said Delhi Police.
According to investigations, the main accused, Krishna, suspected the victim and his friends of being informers for the notorious Badhawar brothers, Monu and Sonu, who are currently lodged in jail under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
