New Delhi [India], August 19 (ANI): AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan and called this year's Rakhi special as she celebrated it with former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia.
In a post of X, she shared photographs and wrote, "A thread of Rakhi binds relationships. This year the festival of Raksha Bandhan was even more special because I celebrated it with my elder brother Manish ji. Some glimpses of the happiness of this festival of Rakshabandhan..."
Ahead of this, Manish Sisodia on Monday also shared an emotional post with a glimpse of Raksha Bandhan celebration and recalled last year's Rakshabandhan saying that he was a little saddened that time as he could not celebrate this festival with his family but this year with the blessings of millions of sisters, he is out of jail just before Rakhi.
In photographs shared by Sisodia on X, AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi was also seen tying Rakhi to him.
"Last year I celebrated Rakshabandhan alone in jail. I was a little saddened that I could not celebrate this festival with my family. But this year, with the blessings of millions of sisters, I got released just before Raksha Bandhan so that I could celebrate it with my family," said Sisodia.
"Heartfelt thanks for the prayers of all the sisters and a very Happy Rakshabandhan to all of you," Sisodia added in the post.
Earlier, Manish Sisodia has said that the people of Delhi are praying for Delhi CM and Satyendar Jain to come out of the jail.
"The people of Delhi are loving me, respecting me and saying that when I was in jail for 17 months, they missed me a lot...Now people are praying that Kejriwal comes out as soon as possible, Satyendar Jain comes out as soon as possible..." said Sisodia.
"Arvind Kejriwal is famous in the whole country for building schools. He is the only CM who made the electricity bill zero for the people. He started free treatment in government hospitals...He made travel in DTC buses free for women. He has been CM for 10 years and he did what BJP CMs were not able to do in their tenure of 10 years...That's why they (BJP) have put him in jail...I have complete faith that Arvind Kejriwal will be out of jail soon," he added.
