Delhi: Kingpin of drug syndicate arrested, cocaine worth Rs. 13 crores recovered

A drug peddler was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Squad of South-East District after a raid was conducted at Hari Nagar Ashram, Sunlight Colony last week, Delhi police said on Wednesday.

New Delhi [India], July 24 (ANI): The Anti-Narcotics Squad of the South-East District arrested a drug peddler following a raid conducted at Hari Nagar Ashram, Sunlight Colony, last week, Delhi Police said on Wednesday.
With his arrest, cocaine worth Rs. 13 crores, seven mobile phones, one scooter, Rs. 11,900 in cash, packing materials, and a digital weighing machine were recovered from his possession.
The arrested individual has been identified as Gnahore Serge Pacome, a 35-year-old resident of the Ivory Coast.
Delhi Police stated, "On June 15, a raid was conducted at Hari Nagar Ashram, in the Sunlight Colony police station area, resulting in the apprehension of two drug peddlers from Nigeria, Anene Chukwa and Livinus Uche. On that day, 386 grams of cocaine were collectively recovered from their possession. Subsequently, a case was registered under FIR No. 205/24 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at PS Sunlight Colony. During the investigation, both accused persons did not disclose the source of the drugs."
Delhi Police added that through thorough technical analysis and consistent team effort, the suspected 'kingpin' of the entire operation was identified.
Following this lead, a dedicated team comprising Sub Inspector Nagendra, SI Satyanarayan, ASI Sudhir, Head Constable Karamveer, HC Mohit, HC Dharmender, HC Baldev, HC Hidayat, and Constable Balwant, led by Inspector Vishnu Dutt, was formed to apprehend the accused.
"The team mounted technical surveillance and developed its sources. Ultimately, the team's efforts bore fruit. The hideout of the drug kingpin was successfully identified, and a raid was conducted at Hari Nagar Ashram, Sunlight Colony, where the team apprehended an African national. Initially, he tried to flee, but the team took him into custody. He was identified as Gnahore Serge Pacome, a resident of the Ivory Coast," Delhi Police said.
Delhi Police further stated that upon searching his flat, 1.321 kg of pure cocaine worth Rs. 13 crores in the international market were recovered. Additionally, seven mobile phones used by the accused to contact his counterparts were seized.
Accordingly, a case has been registered under section 21 of the NDPS Act and section 14 of the Foreigners Act at Sunlight Colony police station. Further investigation of the case is ongoing. (ANI)
