Delhi HC transfers 256 judges within higher and lower courts

The Delhi High Court has transferred 256 judges of higher and lower courts of Delhi Judiciary. The High Court has transferred 23 judges of sessions and district court and 233 judges of magistrate courts.

New Delhi [India], October 26 (ANI): The Delhi High Court has transferred 256 judges of higher and lower courts of the Delhi Judiciary.

The High Court has transferred 23 judges of sessions and district courts and 233 judges of magistrate courts.
Registrar General of Delhi High Court on Friday issued a list of transfers with immediate effect.
As per the list, Additional Session Judge Jitendra Singh has been transferred to Rouse Avenue as a special judge. This court was vacant after the retirement of special judge Rakesh Syal.
Special Judge (POCSO) Chhavi Kapoor of Patiala House court has been transferred to the Rouse Avenue court as special judge. This Court is hearing the cancellation report filed by Delhi Police in a POCSO case against former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Additional Sessions judge Gomti Manocha has replaced special judge Chhavi Kapoor.
The High Court has repatriated the judges who were on deputation in other departments in NCPCR and Lokayukta.
Several Magistrates have been transferred to vacant and new courts. (ANI)
