New Delhi [India], September 11 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, under the leadership of Acting Chief Justice Manmohan, launched three new IT initiatives: Delhi High Court WhatsApp Services, Delhi High Court e-Museum, and Humour in Court.
The initiatives aim to advance the vision set by the Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence & Accessibility Committee, chaired by Justice Rajiv Shakdher, and include Justice Sanjeev Narula, Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma, and Justice Girish Kathpalia.
The court's WhatsApp services will allow advocates and litigants to receive information about cause lists, case filings, and case listings directly via WhatsApp messages. This innovative move is part of the Court's broader effort to use technology for streamlining communication and enhancing efficiency in judicial processes. The WhatsApp service will provide recipients with easy access to case status and other pertinent information directly on their smartphones.
Moreover, in a pioneering effort to preserve and highlight its rich legal heritage, the Delhi High Court also launched its e-Museum today. This digital archive will offer unprecedented access to historically significant case records, including landmark judgments, legal documents, and court proceedings that have influenced both the judiciary and society over the years.
In an innovative and refreshing move, the court has also launched the 'Humour in Court' portal. A web portal dedicated to a collection of lighthearted and memorable moments from courtrooms. This platform will feature a curated selection of anecdotes, witty exchanges, and humorous situations from real courtroom proceedings, highlighting the balance between the gravity of legal debates and moments of levity.
Accessible through a dedicated section on the Delhi High Court's official website, 'Humour in Court' offers users a chance to explore classic courtroom exchanges and enjoy a lighter perspective on the judiciary. Advocates and litigants are also invited to contribute their own humorous and memorable courtroom experiences by emailing delhihighcourt@nic.in. Submissions will be published online after review by the authority. (ANI)
