Delhi govt removed 600 part-time vocational teachers citing heatwave as reason, says BJP's Bansuri Swaraj

New Delhi [India], June 22 (ANI): BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj on Saturday claimed that the Delhi government has removed 600 part-time vocational teachers from their job, citing heatwave as the reason.
"The Delhi government has removed part-time vocational teachers from their job... They said that it is being done due to heatwave... However, they got the money sanctioned worth almost Rs 38 crore. But, then they removed around 600 teachers," Swaraj said.
A delegation of BJP MPs on Saturday met Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena over the issue and shared their concerns.
Speaking to ANI about BJP MPs meeting with Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, said that our MPs have met and requested the LG to take cognizance of the removal of 600 vocational teachers in Delhi from their jobs.
"There are around 600 vocational teachers in Delhi. They were removed suddenly from their jobs. When the Delhi government was asked why, they said that it was being done due to the heatwave... So our MPs have met and requested LG to take this matter in cognizance," Sachdeva told ANI.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari termed the sudden removal of vocational teachers from their jobs as a big conspiracy and assured that Justice will be served in this matter.
"The Delhi government has removed vocational teachers from their jobs. We have met with Delhi LG and told him about the issue. He has asked for the report... It is a big conspiracy... Justice will be served in this matter," Tiwari said. (ANI)
