Delhi excise policy case: Court asks ED to supply copy of supplementary charge sheet in two days

Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Wednesday directed the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) to supply copies of the supplementary charge sheet and documents within two days to the accused persons.

New Delhi [India], July 3 (ANI): Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Wednesday directed the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) to supply copies of the supplementary charge sheet and documents within two days to the accused persons.
Special judge Kaveri Baweja also extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia, K Kavitha and other accused until July 25.
An application seeking an exemption from appearance was filed on behalf of Sanjay Singh.
The court has asked the counsel for the accused to inspect the documents in ten days. Thereafter, they will inform them about the deficient documents.
Advo Nitesh Rana counsel for Arun Ramchandra Pillai said that Three more charge sheets have also been filed. The entire exercise will be started again once we get the copies. Copy are required to see what new material has been filed in the charge sheet.
K Kavitha has also not been supplied the main charge sheet and supplementary charge sheet upto 6th, Rana said.
The court has also asked the counsels to complete the inspection of un-relied documents within one week in light of the previous order.
On May 31, the court granted one month (June) time to inspect the documents daily and conclude the inspection.
The court had asked the counsel for the accused to depute two associates for inspecting the documents.
The court had asked ED to make appropriate arrangements for the inspection. (ANI)
